Dr. Tyler Peterschmidt
Dr. Tyler Peterschmidt has been serving patients in the Eugene area since 2014. He moved to Eugene after completing his dental degree at Oregon Health Sciences University, School of Dentistry in 2014. While a lifelong Oregonian, he has come to call Eugene home and looks forward to building long-term relationships with his patients and the community. He is very passionate about providing quality dental care while creating a warm and welcoming environment. Understanding that the dentist-patient relationship is built upon trust, Dr Tyler Peterschmidt strives to give each patient the time and individual care they deserve.
As the dental field has advanced through the years, Dr Tyler has pursued to stay up-to-date on the newest technologies and treatments that will benefit the patients he cares for. He has spent many hours pursuing high level training and developing skills in the arenas of dental implants, Cerec same-day crowns, & the use of lasers, just to name a few. He in an active member of the Lane County Dental Society, while also being a member of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry and a regular attendee at the Spear Institute.
Dr. Tyler participates in a variety of activities and hobbies to keep him occupied outside the office. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Carly and their beloved golden retrievers Murphy & Riley. They enjoy exploring Oregon’s beauty and also enjoy traveling to new places across the globe. One unique detail, Dr Tyler is an avid landscape photographer. When you visit the office, you will see many of his photographs from around Oregon hanging on the wall. He really enjoys sharing the beauty that Oregon has to offer and bringing it into the dental office. Dr. Tyler is also an avid sports fan. When he's not cheering on his favorite teams, you may find him running the basketball court or soccer field. You may even run into him on the ski slopes during the winter months.
Dr. Susie Watkins
For Dr. Susie Watkins, the decision to pursue dentistry came while working as a dental assistant after college. She knew she was interested in health care but not sure exactly which path to pursue. While assisting chairside, Dr. Watkins saw the way dentistry can build long term relationships with patients and was drawn to this field that combines science and art to produce beautiful and functional results. Dr. Watkins feels so grateful that God directed her steps into this unique and well-fitting career.
Dr. Watkins was raised in Pittsburgh, PA and spent much of her time outside of school on a soccer field. She was named a National All-American in her senior year of high school and went on to play varsity soccer at Wake Forest University. She majored in Health and Exercise Science, earned a B.S. degree, and graduated with highest honors. After two years spent assisting, Dr. Watkins attended University of Maryland Dental School. In her senior year Dr. Watkins won the award for Excellent Patient Care. After dental school she did a one-year General Practice Residency training at the VA Medical Center before signing on to work on the Yakama Reservation doing general and emergency dentistry. Throughout her career Dr. Watkins has continued to pursue advanced dental education in various topics such as lasers, Cerec same day crowns, TMJ therapy and Sleep Apnea therapy through Spear, CDocs, 3D Dentists as well as locally with the Lane County Dental Society.
Dr. Watkins and her husband Chris landed in Eugene in 2010 when Chris began a graduate degree in Architecture at the UO. They quickly fell in love with this beautiful area and have been thankful to put down roots in the Willamette Valley with their two kids and English Shepherd named Izzy. Dr. Susie loves road and mountain biking, being a part of their church, pickleball, reading, exploring Oregon and hanging out with her family eating homemade pizza and watching movies.
Lauren
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Lauren graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology, School of Hygiene in 2014. She has been with PNW Dental since 2019, and her goal is to welcome each patient with a smile and make them feel comfortable.
She strives to help her patients achieve great oral health and treats them with the utmost care. Her favorite thing about a patients visit is getting to connect with them on a personal level and to find home care habits that are uniquely suited for each individual. She sees the value and the importance in what she does and her goal is to help her patients see that too.
Lauren grew up in Silverton, Oregon, and is married to her high school sweetheart. Since moving to Eugene they have expanded their family and now have a son. She enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, board games, and spending time with family and friends.
Carrie
Treatment/Insurance Coordinator
Carrie has been in the dental industry since 2003 and joined the PNW Dental team in 2015. She enjoys getting to know each and every patient on a personal level and helping them find solutions that meet their needs. Please feel free to approach Carrie with any insurance, financing, or treatment questions you have.
A native of Eugene, Oregon, Carrie enjoys being outdoors and exploring the Oregon coast and the Willamette Valley with her dogs.
Crystal
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Crystal joined the amazing team at PNW Dental in December, 2022.
She graduated from Lane Community College Dental Hygiene Program
here in Eugene; and obtained her Dental Hygiene License in 1986. If
you ask her, she will proudly declare that she is a “vintage LCC-trained”
Dental Hygienist!
Crystal brings a passion for “all things dental hygiene” to the office!
She welcomes any concerns or questions you may have for her, and it
brings her much joy to help you with even the tiniest detail about your
oral health care.
Outside of the office, Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband,
the privacy and quiet of time spent at home, traveling to both new and
familiar destinations, getting together with family, and nurturing close
friendships. She also has an extraordinary “bead stash” and would
likely string you a little necklace if she thought it might bring you joy!
Autumn
Dental Assistant
Autumn was born and raised in Springfield, Oregon and joined our dental team in 2016. She is passionate about the dental field and patient care and is currently attending Lane Community College for her Bachelor of Science degree. Autumn is also certified in radiation health and safety.
Autumn enjoys providing each patient the care that they deserve and strives to make each experience at PNW Dental the absolute best.
In her free time, she loves to bake, decorate, spend time with her husband and kids, and do anything where she can spend time outdoors.
Becca
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Becca always enjoyed going to the dentist as a child and knew she wanted to work in the dental field and share her good experience with others. After receiving her dental assistant certification from Lane Community College in 2009, Becca was ecstatic to start working for Jenson Family Dental and has been with us ever since.
As an expanded duties dental assistant, Becca loves helping patients achieve excellent oral health and seeing their healthy smiles. She additionally performs functions like ordering burs for the practice, cleaning the sterilizer, and changing the traps in dental carts.
Becca married her high school sweetheart, Matt, and they have two amazing daughters. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and enjoying all the beauty Oregon offers. Becca also enjoys painting, ceramics, and making gift baskets.
Destiny
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Destiny joined PNW Dental in 2021. Originally from Salem, Destiny has been a dental assistant since 2012. She loves spending time with each and every patient, learning about them on a personal level, and making them feel comfortable at our office. Her goal is to help patients enjoy the time they spend with us in the office. A laugh and smile makes her day!
In her free time, Destiny loves spending time with family, friends, her chocolate lab, and her kitties. She enjoys everything outdoors: camping, crabbing, traveling, and hiking. During the fall, she's all about football - Go Seahawks!

My family sees Dr. Tyler Peterschmidt and we have had the best experience. Both my kids love going to the dentist and Dr. Tyler always makes them feel comfortable. My youngest has had to have a lot of dental work done lately and it’s nice to have a dentist you trust. Dr. Tyler always takes the time to explain what’s going on is always encouraging! He is gentle and listens well.
